Providers

1. Click here to “Identify Your Elected Officials”. Please write down their Washington DC phone and fax number.
2. Click on the “Bill Official Sponsors” link to find out if your Representative cosponsored the previous version of Hobson-Tanner.
   a. If yes click on the “Tanner Hobson previous cosponsor request letter”. Go to step 3
   b. If no click on the “ Tanner Hobson new and no cosponsor request letter”. Go to step 3
3. Save the letter on your computer
4. Make any changes to the letter that you would like
5. Print out the letter(s) on your company letterhead for employees to sign.
6. Fax the signed letter to your Representative’s Washington, DC. office. * You can mail the letters but it will take 4-6 weeks to arrive due to the anthrax screening done to all incoming mail.
7. Follow up with a phone call to your Representative’s office within two days to confirm that the office received the faxes. Ask for the Health Legislative Aide and answer any questions they may have.

2. Enter your zip code and click on the “GO” button to identify your US Representatives.
3. A list will be provided identifying your Federal and State legislators.
   a. Under the President & Congress section please click on the name of your Representative.
   b. Under the picture of your Representative please click on the “Send Message” link.
   c. Select the “Competitive Bidding Act” link- click on the “next step”.
   d. Fill out your name at the bottom of section 1.
   e. Fill out Section 2.
   f. Click the “send” button
